Ja Morant : Season ends Saturday
Morant (hip) finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 23.2 points, 7.3 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals across 30.4 minutes per game in 50 regular-season appearances. Morant missed Saturday's elimination game loss to the Thunder due to a hip injury. He finished the first-round series with averages of 18.3 points, 5.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds across 27.3 minutes per contest in three appearances. The star point guard dealt with several injuries throughout the season after playing only nine games during the 2023-24 campaign. Morant recorded 13 double-doubles and one triple-double in the 2024-25 season, during which he also supplied shooting splits of 45.4/30.9/82.4 while averaging a career-high 1.8 three-pointers per game.
GG Jackson : Absent from brief playoff run
Jackson did not play in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs against the Thunder. Jackson was ruled out for Game 1 due to personal reasons, but he was available off the bench for the final three games of the series. The 2023 second-rounder missed the first three months of the season while recovering from a procedure to repair a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot. Jackson saw some action in the G League but spent most of the regular season with Memphis, and across 29 games (three starts) he averaged 7.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists over 15.8 minutes per game, all of which were lower than his numbers in his rookie season.
Lamar Stevens : Quiet end to season in loss
Stevens ended with no counting stats over zero minutes during Saturday's 117-115 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Stevens briefly checked in and committed a foul in the final seconds of Saturday's elimination game loss. The 27-year-old forward totaled four points, four rebounds and an assist across 12 minutes in two appearances during the first-round series. Stevens is slated to be an unrestricted free agent during the offseason, and he finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 4.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.5 assists across 9.1 minutes per game in 17 regular-season outings (one start).
Marvin Bagley : Idle in final two playoff games
Bagley did not play in Game 3 or Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs against the Thunder. Bagley saw extended playing time in a Game 1 blowout, finishing with 17 points, five rebounds, two steals and one block over 16 minutes, but he proceeded to record only one rebound over 11 minutes in Game 2. Bagley started the regular season with the Wizards but was traded to the Grizzlies in early February. He appeared in just 12 regular-season games (one start) for Memphis due to an ankle injury and concussion, averaging 3.6 points and 2.3 rebounds over 8.3 minutes. The 2018 first-round pick out of Duke will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent.
Jay Huff : Sees floor in elimination game
Huff had one rebound, one assist and one block across six minutes during Saturday's 117-115 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Huff saw the floor in Saturday's elimination game loss after receiving two DNPs via a coach's decision in the club's last two outings. The big man appeared in two games during the first-round series, totaling eight points, three rebounds, three blocks and an assist across 18 minutes. Huff carved out a fairly inconsistent role off the bench in the 2024-25 campaign, finishing with averages of 6.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.9 blocks and 0.6 assists across 11.7 minutes per contest in 64 regular-season games (two starts).
John Konchar : Grabs six boards in Game 4 loss
Konchar racked up four points (1-1 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 16 minutes during Saturday's 117-115 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Konchar led the Grizzlies' second unit in rebounds during a productive performance Saturday. The 29-year-old averaged 2.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 17.0 minutes per game during the club's first-round series. Konchar has two years remaining on his contract, and he finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 2.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 0.7 steals across 12.1 minutes per contest in 46 regular-season games.
Vince Williams : Paces bench in elimination game
Williams finished Saturday's 117-115 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 11 points (3-5 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 18 minutes. Williams led the second unit in scoring while sinking three triples for the first time since March 25. The 24-year-old received inconsistent playing time during the Grizzlies' first-round series, averaging 4.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 12.3 minutes per game over three appearances. Williams missed significant time during the regular season due to a stress reaction in the upper portion of his left tibia and a sprained right ankle. He appeared in 27 regular-season games, finishing with averages of 6.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 18.5 minutes per contest.
Jaren Jackson : Struggles in elimination game
Jackson amassed 12 points (3-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block over 35 minutes during Saturday's 117-115 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Jackson struggled with efficiency as the Grizzlies fell 4-0 to the Thunder in the first round. The All-Star shot only 37.9 percent from the field in the series, during which he averaged just 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals across 34.0 minutes per game. Jackson was named an All-Star for the second time in his career during a productive campaign on both ends of the floor, and he finished the regular season with averages of 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steals across 29.8 minutes per game in 74 appearances.
